Digital Age Virtual Marketer The Business of the 21st Century Love Learning Market Expansion B2B Lead Generation Tactics

Today, I will talk about something that seems to be one of those things that people either love or hate. What I am talking about is network marketing, also called MLM or multi-level marketing. From the beginning, I will say that there is no need to have extreme views about this; it is simply a business model you can use if you wish.

They Rarely Told The Truth About Network Marketing

However, it is crucial that you understand how the business model of network marketing works.

There are two reasons why some people seem to be almost electrocuted, simply by hearing someone mention the word network marketing. Either they have tried it themselves, and they failed miserably because they didn’t know how to do it. Or they belong to the group of people who can’t get the idea that MLM = pyramid scheme out of their heads.

This second misconception is easy to debunk. Pyramid schemes are illegal almost everywhere. Do you think large multinational companies could operate year after year on an entirely illegal basis?

Second, this view on network marketing shows that the speaker is ignorant. They haven’t done an ounce of homework on the various businesses available to each of us today, and they are ignorant of the industry itself.

This means they aren’t serious. It means they “would like” to make more money but have no intention of making it happen. They continually “look” for home businesses, which is enough to satisfy their minds that they “did everything they could.” However, everything they find out there is flawed and is a “scam.” They are looking to buy “hope,” not a business.

There is a Chinese saying that goes something like this: “If you spend too much time thinking about your next step, you will stand on one leg for the rest of your life.” Yes, there ARE scams out there, but MLM is not a dirty word, and it is not a synonym for a scam. Get over it!

BREAKING NEWS! Corporate America a Pyramid Scam?

As for the comparison to a pyramid, think of any company that comes to mind. The company will probably have a CEO, president, vice president, middle management, a sales force, and hourly employees.

The guy at the top, the CEO, will make the most money, and the compensations continue to decrease down the ladder, starting at his cushy leather chair. The only way to get paid more and move up the ladder is to boot someone else out of their spot, and these people call okay and normal!

Not to mention that the corporate slave masters seem to have no problem with working people to the limits…and then kicking them out the door before any of the benefits kick in. (As always, there are some exceptions, of course). How is this any less pyramid than network marketing? All people in the company work hard, but only those at the very top have “permission” to make much money.

Now, in network marketing, it will benefit everyone involved to help new people reach the top. The whole business idea hinges on this idea that the only way to become successful in the long term is to help others.

Of course, there will always be a mathematical limit to how large a network can become. However, with today’s global marketplace and a suitable compensation plan, everybody usually has plenty of room.

A network marketing company can diversify and find new markets, just like all companies have to.

But what about the miserable statistics of network marketing, the over 90% drop-out rate, etc.?

This is mainly caused because not that many people know how to do network marketing correctly. And I must admit that some network marketing companies handle this by providing useless ideas like making a “100 list,” etc.

This is a somewhat unique industry. Most people don’t realize that network marketing is a marketing and promotion pursued by people who do not know how to market and promote.

Please read the above paragraph once more and let it sink in…

Suppose you are going to be involved in network marketing. In that case, you need to develop both the right mindset and gain the right knowledge (no, they rarely teach this in college).

It would be best if you learned that when you do this business right:

  • You don’t have to “sell.”
  • You don’t have to ask people to join your business… They ask you!
  • You don’t have to post “work at home” flyers!
  • People will pay you to prospect for them.

It would be best if you learned that this is not about Vitamins or whatever product your company is selling. This is one of the single biggest mistakes people make in network marketing.

Experience the Joy of Online Network Marketing

The big question is, what do the giants in this sector do to get the perfect group of clients? It is simple; they look for the untapped online market. This is the only way through which you can maximize your profits. Below are some network marketing tips that will help you follow the steps of the industry’s giants.

It is important to strategize. There is no way to go for battle without laying down plans A, B, and C of attacking. The same applies to the network marketing industry. This implies choosing the exact MLM business you want to undertake.

There is an option of marketing opportunities of your network marketing business, retailing products, or even specializing in both. Many open up their companies without defining the transactions they plan on undertaking. This is hazardous to the business. Even before you open up the business, choose one and specialize in it; once you set up, your company is fully established.

Second, make sure that you will be the one to design your website. Do not hire anyone to design the website for you. This is the only way through which you can have complete control over your marketing techniques and efforts.

The client is more interested in you and what you offer and not your website design. Therefore, why not label yourself the expert and not your website. However, certain aspects should be present on your website, specifically for you to keep in touch with your clients. These are auto-responder for your email, as well as writing a prospect communication list.

Finally, look for a mentor and earn as you learn. It is one thing to work hard in your job and understand what it is you are doing. You might work hard at doing the wrong thing. Therefore, it would be advisable to look for a mentor, especially if you are new to the industry. They will teach you a thing or two that you did not learn at school.

Network Marketing Essentials

Network marketing has become one of the major sectors in the business sector today. This is simply because of the chief interest it draws. Many have joined this sector, each with their reason. Some have started their network marketing businesses because of the unstable economy that has led to the high cost of living.

This is because it offers an additional source of money away from the usual salary. Others have joined this sector because of its very conducive working conditions and especially the home-based network marketing. Others are in it for the sake of adventure. Whichever the case, there are specific important ingredients that should be present for the business to prosper. Here they are.

The affiliate company one works with matters a lot. Look for a company with an excellent track record for the goods and services they offer. Most people go for companies below standards just because of the good commissions and cheap enrolling rates.

I am afraid that is not right. It would be best if you are looking for a company known for its excellent products such that it will be easy to convince clients to buy them. Enquire other factors such as how long the company has been running, its compensation plan, plus just how popular it is.

Second, the marketing strategy one uses matters a lot. One mistake that many network marketers make is starting a business with a very open mind. It is good to be open-minded but only if you have your plan on the side. This includes deciding on the exact network marketing you plan to specialize in; do not be a jack of all trades.

Then strategies on how you plan on penetrating the market and how you will distribute your good, and at what rate. All these are matters that will highly influence how your business will perform. However, look for an experienced mentor to help you in slaying down the strategy.

Finally, the network marketer himself plays a major role in how the business works out. After laying down the strategy, the only thing remaining is for the marketer to play their cards right. The marketer should be patient, persistent, ready to learn, and above all, a hard worker. This is the only way through which the business can maximize its profits.

Google Social Networking

You don’t have to look very far on the internet to find Google’s fingerprints. Google started as a search engine, which was about all it did, but then as it gained more traction, it branched out into other things. Many of the things they tried didn’t do all that well and have long since been forgotten. It remains to be seen if Google+ (Google social networking) will last or soon disappear like previously failed endeavors made by Big G.

Google+ has much weight behind it, and they want it to grab some of Facebook’s business. Now, they may not flat-out say that, but it’s quite obvious that they have noticed how much of an impact Facebook has had, and Google can’t be blamed for wanting a piece of the virtual action.

By now, everybody knows that social networking is taking the world by storm, at least the online world. Big-name networking sites like Myspace and Facebook offer settings for people to connect.

Many businesses are also tapping into the power of this phenomenon because they can see how popular they are, and they also understand the power of social proof provided by such sites.

The ability to leverage social network sites is an excellent method for businesses to reach new markets and increase their customer base.

Perhaps you are among the people who didn’t think there was enough room for another major player in social networking. However, Google’s entrance into the arena is evidence that there is still room for growth and competition. While it may have had a few missteps in its brief history, they have a reason for everything that they do. Google+ appears to be a serious contender in social networking. It is already getting a fair share of users who like what it offers.

One of the fundamental things that make Google+ unique is the use of social circles. You put people into different circles, and then you get to decide what each circle gets to see. For example, you can put your co-workers in one circle, your family in another, and your spouse is yet another. The only downside as of right now is that each person can only belong to one circle, but at least you can control who sees what.

Google+ also has a chat function which makes communicating with friends easy and enjoyable. Facebook also has a chat, but theirs is limited to only one person at a time. Google+ is set up so up to 10 people can all chat at the same time. It also has seamless video chat, which adds to the overall experience and puts the ‘social’ in ‘Google social networking.

Everything you would expect in a good social networking site is still here, such as games, sharing, status updates, and more. While it may be a bit of a stretch to say Google social networking will replace Facebook, it would be fair to say that Google+ does things right and is worth checking out.
